This document exercises normal Goldmark output in combinations likely to appear in Lapsing Liminal. The template owns the visible page title, so authored articles should normally begin with H2.

Authored H1

An H1 inside Markdown is supported for imported or unusual documents, though ordinary articles should not need one.

Heading level two

Paragraphs should remain comfortable across a long measure. This one includes italic text, bold text, bold italic text, and material struck from the record. It also includes a normal contextual link, literal escaped *asterisks* and _underscores_, an ampersand, angle brackets written as <threshold>, an em dash—then Unicode: λ, ø, and 中.

Heading level three

Text immediately beneath H3 establishes the following list.

• A single-level item with strong emphasis.
• An item containing inline_code() and a link.
• A nested sequence:

  • The first nested item.

  • A second nested item with a paragraph.

    This continuation belongs to the same list item and should retain readable spacing.

    1. A mixed ordered child.
    2. Another numbered child.

Heading level four

1. The first ordered item.
2. The second item contains a nested list.
   1. Nested number one.
   2. Nested number two.
      • A mixed unordered child.
3. The final item verifies marker alignment.

Heading level five

• Unfinished indexing task
• Finished indexing task

Heading level six

The smallest heading remains a heading rather than collapsing into body text.

Quotations and boundaries

The instrument does not need to be broken to produce an impossible reading.

A multi-paragraph quotation begins with a linked reference and weighted text.

Its second paragraph contains status = unresolved without losing the quote’s rhythm.

The next boundary is an authored horizontal rule.

The document continues after the divider without an arbitrary gap.

Code and punctuation

Inline code such as archive.lookup("A–17") should remain distinct inside prose.

Tables

Short aligned values should retain Goldmark’s requested alignment.

A wider register should scroll locally on a narrow screen.

Image

The image retains its alt text, title attribute, and intrinsic ratio as it scales.

Definitions and notes

Register

An ordered account whose omissions may be as meaningful as its entries.

Charge

The unresolved capacity of a fragment to connect with material not yet filed.

This sentence carries a short note.¹ This one carries a longer note with inline code, emphasis, and enough text to wrap across multiple lines without becoming difficult to return from.²
